May God be the Judge Between Me and Thee

"May God be the judge between me and thee while we are absent from one another." said Sarah to her husband. Sarah was not sure if her husband was giving special favor over her maid/slave or if he as cheating on her now that Hagar was able to give Abraham the son he always wanted.

A feeling of jealousy arose between her mind about her husband's heart because of the way the maid/slave was now acting towards her. I can only imagine how Sarah must have felt after making that decision to allow her husband to sleep with her personal maid/slave then, only to start to doubt her husbands love and loyalty to her. It seemed like she found herself in an very uncomfortable situation. A decision she made that could not be taken back, one she thought would help God's word come to manification.

I think about Daniel, thrown into the lions den to be eaten alive. Here was a man who did nothing to create this other than believing in his faith and respect for God over his life. I believe that Daniel reminded himself the love God had for him - trusting in him completely to protect him and see him through this situation. I believe that because he kept his faith and trust in God that there was no smell of fear upon him. So he was able to confidently go in the den and come out alive and well.

Both of these situations are some what similar in nature and we can relate to them today. A person finding him/herself in a place where they did not want to be in. Both cases, these two individuals kept their faith that God would make good on what happened. Both trusted in God's word and promises to them, knowing that through it all they would go through unharmed. Sarah would not end up heartbroken and Daniel would not be harmed.

I have been blessed to remember that just because we may create a bad situation for ourselves or we find ourselves right in the middle of something we had no part of creating for ourselves; God is there all the way through and while he is there, I believe that the angels are taking notes on what they find in our hearts on both sides of the situation for the Book of Life.

I know that our God sees all of us and he judges our hearts in all situations. I know that he looks towards us to see, if while being mistreated or confused, what we do in return to one another. So Children of God, please note that it is so important for us to always do what is right - every time - no matter what we may feel like doing. Please make an effort to find a way to forgive your enemies for the things they do. No matter the level of destruction. I know that it is a very difficult thing to do when you are hurt or violated. But, asking God to help you find a way will help you through and you will be blessed at the end and God's view will be revealed unto you his decision.

If you are finding it difficult to do, please try to find a way to pray for the strength/courage you need while going through. Find a way to remind yourself that - our creator, our Heavenly Father, loves you and is watching the hearts of all involved.  Trust in his outcome and final decision and when its over.  Praise him for all hes done in your life and the glorious wisdom you have gained from this experience.  Please do not be ashamed to testify (show your light) on his behalf.  Allow the gift of wisdom and light up your confused, dark place you find yourself into.  For In God we Trust and through Jesus Christ and I pray it helps you along your journey. Amen.
